5v5 Lacrosse Invitational & Clinic, October 7

The focus of the Penn State 5v5 Lacrosse Invitational and Clinic is to provide a high quality off-season teaching opportunity and competition. All players will have an opportunity to improve their individual skills and techniques while developing team concepts in game play. It is intended to give athletes an opportunity to improve their skills under the supervision of the Penn State coaching staff. The clinic will focus on the technical and tactical aspects of the game for all positional players in a fun and competitive environment. The clinic will include a round robin 5v5 tournament complete with playoffs and a championship. During this competitive portion, teams will be able to showcase their skills and what they learned.

Teams only (MUST bring your own goalie)
• Instruction by Penn State coaches
• Games played on field turf
• Sports Health staff available for instruction and all games

What to Bring

Equipment: Players should bring their own lacrosse sticks. Goggles and mouth guards are mandatory. Turf shoes or cleats are recommended. Goalkeepers should bring all necessary gear. Rain gear is recommended, depending on the weather.

Each player needs to bring a team reversible jersey.

Please bring lunch/snacks to stay energized during the clinic. Water will be provided.

Who: Grades 8-12 (Teams Only)

Where: Panzer Lacrosse Stadium/Holuba Hall


• $350/team, includes instruction and games

Teams must bring a minimum of five field players and a goalie or up to a maximum of eight field players and a goalie. Each team must bring a goalie.

Registration for team sport camps is online. To reserve a team space for the Penn State 5v5 Invitational and Clinic, the coach/team representative must submit a registration form online, along with the full entry fee for each team.

After a team has been registered, the coach/team representative will receive a confirmation e-mail with detailed instructions, a team roster form and a medical release form.

• Team Roster Form: Submit a team roster to the Penn State Sports Camp office by Friday, September 28, 2018.

• Medical Release CLICK HERE: Distribute a form to each of your players. Each player must complete a medical release form to participate. Collect all completed individual medical release forms and submit them as one package to Penn State Sport Camps personnel at final registration on Sunday, October 7, 2018.

Coach/Team Representative:

Penn State is committed to providing a safe environment for all employees, students and visitors. We will provide trained staff to assist in making your experience at the event the best experience possible. Penn State Sport Camps are administered by Intercollegiate Athletics in accordance with University policy AD39 and NCAA rules and regulations. Clubs must obtain signed parental/legal guardian medical release forms authorizing the minors' participation in the event. All adults and minors attending Penn State Camps are participants of the camp as such; all participants must follow the instructions of the Penn State staff in complying with the rules and regulations of the event. Any violations of the rules or instructions of the Penn State staff may result in immediate dismissal from the event.

All adult participants are required to read and understand obligations for reporting child abuse witnessed or suspected during the course of participation in the camp at Penn State University. Adult participants, who willfully fail to report a case of suspected child abuse, will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Adult participants are protected by Pennsylvania law and Penn State policy from discrimination for filing a good faith report of child abuse.

Staff: --The Penn State Girls Lacrosse Camp guarantees a 1:10 ratio of coaches to players and includes top U.S. team members, college coaches and the Penn State staff and players.
