7v7 Field Hockey Invitational & Clinic

Registration: 8:30-9:15 a.m., Holuba Hall
Event: 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Welcome: 9:30 a.m.
Instruction & Games Begin: 9:45 a.m.
Lunch & Clinic:12:00-12:45 p.m., PSUFH Field
Fee: $400 per team

Who Should Attend

High School Varsity Teams, Junior Varsity Teams and Club Teams (U14, U16, U19)

The main focus of the Penn State Penn State 7v7 Field Hockey Invitational & Clinic is to provide a high quality off-season teaching opportunity and competition. All players will have an opportunity to improve their individual skills and techniques while developing team concepts in game play.

Features of the 7v7 Field Hockey Invitational & Clinic include:

  • Instruction by the Penn State coaches
  • Minimum of four games (Each game will be 25 minutes.)
  • Games played on field turf (Indoor in-fill surface and Penn State astro turf)
  • Games refereed by certified officials
  • Certified trainers for all games
Equipment: Players should bring their own sticks, shin guards and mouth guards. Turf shoes or cross trainers are recommended. Goal keepers should bring all necessary gear. Each team needs to bring a light and dark team shirt.

Registration - Coach/Team Representative

Registration for team sport camps is offered online. To reserve a team space for the Penn State 7v7 Invitational & Clinic the coach/team representative must submit a registration form online, along with the full entry fee of $400 for each team.

After a team has been registered, the coach/team representative will receive a confirmation e-mail with detailed instructions, a team roster form and a medical release form. Please distribute a medical release form to each of your players. Each participant must complete a medical release form to participate.

Team Roster Form: Please submit the team roster form to the Sport Camps office by April 14, 2016.

Medical release: Each participant must have a medical release signed by a parent/legal guardian. Collect all completed individual medical release forms and submit them as one package to Penn State Sport Camps personnel at final registration on Saturday, April 23, 2016.

Coach/Team Representative:

Penn State is committed to providing a safe environment for all employees, students and visitors. We will provide trained staff to assist in making your experience at the event the best experience possible. Penn State Sport Camps are administered by Intercollegiate Athletics in accordance with University policy AD39 and NCAA rules and regulations. Clubs must obtain signed parental/legal guardian medical release forms authorizing the minors' participation in the event. All adults and minors attending Penn State Camps are participants of the camp as such; all participants must follow the instructions of the Penn State staff in complying with the rules and regulations of the event. Any violations of the rules or instructions of the Penn State staff may result in immediate dismissal from the event.

All adult participants are required to read and understand obligations for reporting child abuse witnessed or suspected during the course of participation in the camp at Penn State University. Adult participants, who willfully fail to report a case of suspected child abuse, will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Adult participants are protected by Pennsylvania law and Penn State policy from discrimination for filing a good faith report of child abuse.

Enrollment is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Penn State maintains waiting lists for sport camps. To be put on the waiting list if the camp is full, check the appropriate space on the pre-registration form online. Teams on waiting lists may be accepted into camps on short notice. Those waitlisted teams accepted into camp will be contacted via phone and/or email by the Penn State Sport Camps office. There will be a 48 hour window to accept/decline the opening before we contact the next team on the list. Payment is due by the first day of camp.

Fee

$400 per team includes instruction and games

REFUND POLICY

All individual cancellations must be received in writing by mail, email or fax to the Penn State Sport Camps Office. Cancellations will not be accepted by phone. For those team cancellations received fifteen (15) or more days prior to the first day of camp, a $30 financial transaction fee will be deducted. If the team cancellation is received fourteen (14) days or less before the start of camp, there will be a $75 administrative fee.

Teams that register but do not attend the Camp and fail to notify the Penn State Sport Camps office by 5:00 p.m. two business days after the camp will not receive a refund.
