Who Should Attend
High School Varsity Teams, Junior Varsity Teams and Club Teams
The main focus of the Penn State Penn State 7v7 Field Hockey Invitational & Clinic is to provide a high quality off-season teaching opportunity and competition. All players will have an opportunity to improve their individual skills and techniques while developing team concepts in game play.
Features of the 7v7 Field Hockey Invitational & Clinic include:
- Instruction by the Penn State coaches
- Minimum of four games (Each game will be 25 minutes.)
- Games played on field turf (Indoor in-fill surface)
- Games refereed by certified officials
- Certified trainers for all games
Equipment: Players should bring their own sticks, shin guards and mouth guards. Turf shoes or cross trainers are recommended. Goal keepers should bring all necessary gear. Each team needs to bring a light and dark team shirt.
Registration
Penn State is committed to providing a safe environment for all employees, students and visitors. We will provide trained staff to assist in making your experience at the event the best experience possible. Penn State Sport Camps are administered by Intercollegiate Athletics in accordance with University policy AD39 (http://guru.psu.edu/policies/Ad39.html) and NCAA rules and regulations. As a reminder, all adults accompanying teams participating in this event are the responsibility of the sponsoring club/team/organization. You will be asked to confirm your understanding of the liability of sending adult coaches and/or chaperones to accompany minors, including staying in overnight accommodations. Teams/clubs must obtain signed parental/legal guardian medical release forms authorizing the minors' participation in the event. All adults and minors must follow the instructions of the Penn State staff in complying with the rules and regulations of the event. Any violations of the rules or instructions of the Penn State staff may result in immediate dismissal from the event.
Fee: $400 registration fee per team.
Team Representative: Registration for team sport camps is offered online. To reserve a team space for the Penn State 7v7 Invitational & Clinic, the coach/team representative must complete and submit a registration form on-line, along with the full entry fee of $400 for each team. Payment may be made by credit card or e-check.
Refunds: Full refunds will be made for cancellations received by April 1, 2013.
After a team has been registered, the coach/team representative will receive a confirmation e-mail with detailed instructions and a medical release form. Please distribute a medical release form to each of your players. Each participant must complete a medical release form to participate.
Medical release: Each participant must have a medical release
signed by a parent/legal guardian. Collect all completed individual medical release forms and submit them as one package to Penn State Sport Camps personnel at final registration on Sunday, April 14, 2013.
