Who Should Attend

The Nittany Lion Rugby Winter Clinics are open to students entering grades 8-12 next fall. High school graduates are also eligible to enroll.

About the Clinics

The Penn State Boys and Girls Winter Rugby Clinics are the perfect way for a player or a team to start a new season. The clinics go through all the basic aspects of rugby and are suitable for both new and experienced high school players. Penn State brings to the clinics its expertise as the most successful combined men's and women's rugby programs in the country. To assist in the coaching at the clinics, Penn State invites All-Americans and U.S. Eagles to Happy Valley, as well as top names in rugby from around the world.

Equipment: Participants should bring the necessary practice gear, including sneakers, cleated shoes for artificial turf, rugby jerseys, shoulder pads and head gear if appropriate. Mouth guards are recommended. Participants are encouraged to bring a snack (power bar, etc.) to stay energized. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Water stations will be available throughout the facility.

Guidelines

  • Please remember that you are representing the sport of rugby and the Penn State rugby program at all times!
  • Please be respectful to all coaches, athletic trainers, fellow campers and guests.
  • We have some of the best facilities in the world; please take care of them.
