Who Should Attend

The Nittany Lion Boys Lacrosse Freshman/Sophomore Prospect Camp is open to students who are entering grades 9-10 during the fall of 2014.

The Nittany Lion Boys Lacrosse Goalie and Instructional Camps are open to students ages 8-18.

Freshman/Sophomore Prospect Camp: June 29

The Freshman/Sophomore Prospect Camp is a one-day competitive camp which will focus on skill development and team play concepts for more advanced skill players who are serious about raising their skills in preparation for playing at the collegiate level. Enrollment will be limited to 88 players. The enrollment will consist of the following: 16 Attackmen, 32 Midfielders, 24 Defensemen, 8 Face-Off Specialists and 8 Goalies.

Who: Students entering their freshman and sophomore year (grades 9-10) during the fall of 2014

Fee: $125 (includes instruction, lunch, camp shirt)

Meals: Lunch

Lacrosse Goalie Camp: June 30-July 3

The Goalie Camp is designed to provide goalies with the use of specialized drills and individual instruction sessions to enhance skill development in the cage. Solid instruction will focus on strategies to help goalies further refine their skills in game-like situations. Goalies will also participate in all games and several drills during the Penn State Instructional Camp. Instructors in the past have been Penn State alumni and current MLL All-Stars, Long Island Lizard Drew Adams ('09) and Chesapeake Bayhawk Chris Garrity ('03).

Who: Students ages 8-18

Fees:

  • $510 resident fee (includes instruction, housing, meals, camp shirt)
  • $425 commuter fee (includes instruction, all meals, camp shirt)

Meals: Dinner on the first day to breakfast on the last day

Lacrosse Instructional Camp: June 30-July 3

The Lacrosse Instructional Camp will include stick-work practices, games and solid instruction that will focus on offensive and defensive strategies to help the players further refine their skills. Individual-help sessions and extra scrimmages under the lights will also be held.

Who: Students ages 8-18

Fees:

  • $510 resident fee (includes instruction, housing, meals, camp shirt)
  • $425 commuter fee (includes instruction, all meals, camp shirt)

Meals: Dinner on the first day to breakfast on the last day


Equipment --Campers should bring their own lacrosse sticks, helmets, arm and shoulder pads, gloves, cleats, sneakers and mouth guards. Goalies should bring all the necessary gear (chest protectors and throat guards).

Recreation -- During camp, participants may spend their free time enjoying Penn State's many recreational facilities, including the outdoor swimming pool.
