About 7 ON 7 Team Camp
The main focus of the Penn State 7 ON 7 Team Camp is to provide a quality teaching opportunity for a high school coaching staff and to create a competitive learning situation for players against excellent competition.
The no-pad, no-helmet, 7 ON 7 practice format provides offensive and defensive skill players an opportunity to improve their "individual" skills while learning "team" pass game concepts. The 7 ON 7 game coaching and instruction will be provided by each team's own high school coaches.
All campers will also receive a speed and movement session with members of the Penn State strength and conditioning staff.
The linemen sessions include drill and technique work with Penn State's offensive and defensive line coaches as well as an opportunity to work with your own team's line coaches.
Features of the 7 ON 7 Team Camp include:
Instruction by the Penn State coaches
Minimum of 7 games (round robin format)
Games played on grass fields
Drill & technique sessions for linemen
Trainers available for all games
Equipment: Players should bring football cleats and/or cross trainers. Mouth guards are recommended. Also, rain gear is recommended for inclement weather. Each team needs to bring light and dark team shirts.
