Boys Basketball Team Camp

June 14-15, 2014
Registration: 8:00 a.m-10:00 a.m.
Welcome: 10:00 a.m.
Instruction & Games Begin: 10:30 a.m.

Who Should Attend

The Penn State Boys Basketball Team Camp is open to high school varsity teams, junior varsity teams and club teams.

Team Camp will continue to be the premier team camp in the state of Pennsylvania and will provide an opportunity for the campers to improve their skills while playing in organized games against great competition. The teams will be placed into competitive divisions, with each team guaranteed a minimum of five games. Each team must bring a minimum of eight players. Each camper will receive a reversible.

Features of the camp include:

• Games conveniently located (all facilities are within walking distance from one another)
• Minimum 5 games guaranteed
• Games refereed by certified officials
• Trainers available during the entire camp

Equipment: Players should bring their own court shoes and basketball gear. Mouth guards are recommended. Gatorade and water will be provided.

Location & Housing

All Penn State Sport Camps are conducted on Penn State's University Park campus in State College, Pa. Resident campers are housed in University residence halls. Bed linens are provided. Resident campers should bring a blanket, a pillow, towels, a swimsuit, toiletries and other personal items. Other optional items recommended include a fan, an alarm clock and sunscreen. Laundry facilities are available in the residence halls. DO NOT BRING VALUABLES TO CAMP. PENN STATE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS.

Fee: $75 per player/coach resident fee (includes instruction, housing, meals, a camp reversible for each player)

Early Bird Registration Fee: $70 per player/coach resident fee (includes instruction, housing, meals, a camp reversible for each player)
• Completed application forms with full payment must be submitted online by May 1, 2014

Meals: Lunch on the first day to lunch on the last day

Registration - Coach/Team Representative

Registration for team sport camps is offered online. To reserve a team space for the Penn State Boys Basketball Team Camp, the coach/team representative must complete and submit a registration form online, along with a refundable deposit of $100/team. Upon completion of the camp, the deposit will be refunded and processed within 30 days following the camp's conclusion. Full refunds will be made for cancellations received by the following dates:

All cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail or fax. Any refund request not submitted to the Penn State Sport Camps office by the dates listed above will not receive a refund.

After a team has been registered, the coach/team representative will receive a confirmation e-mail with detailed instructions, including registration links that he/she must distribute to their players and coaches. The coach/team representative is responsible for providing to each player and coach the team name and password entered during registration. Parents must then register online using the players' registration link along with the team name and password to ensure that their child is placed on the correct team. Coaches must also register online using the coach's registration link along with the team name and password.

Coach/Team Representative:

Penn State is committed to providing a safe environment for all employees, students and visitors. We will provide trained staff to assist in making your experience at the event the best experience possible. Penn State Sport Camps are administered by Intercollegiate Athletics in accordance with University Policy AD39 and NCAA rules and regulations. As a reminder, all adults accompanying teams participating in this event are the responsibility of the sponsoring club/team/organization. You will be asked to confirm your understanding of the liability of sending adult coaches and/or chaperones to accompany minors, including staying in overnight accommodations. Clubs must obtain signed parental/legal guardian medical release forms authorizing the minors' participation in the event. All adults and minors must follow the instructions of the Penn State staff in complying with the rules and regulations of the event. Any violations of the rules or instructions of the Penn State staff may result in immediate dismissal from the event.

Enrollment is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Spots will not be held for those teams that do not have all forms submitted online by the dates listed above.

Penn State maintains waiting lists for sport camps. To be put on the waiting list if the camp is full, check the appropriate space on the registration form online. Teams on waiting lists may be accepted into camps on short notice. Those waitlisted teams accepted into camp will be contacted via phone and/or email by the Penn State Sport Camps office. There will be a 48 hour window to accept/decline the opening before we contact the next team on the list. Payment is due by the first day of camp.

Fees - Boys Basketball Team Camp

• The resident camper fee for Boys Basketball Team Camp is $75 per player/coach. This fee covers all instruction, a reversible for each player, housing and all meals (from lunch on the first day to lunch on the last day).

• The early bird resident camper fee for Boys Basketball Team Camp is $70 per player/coach. This fee covers all instruction, a reversible for each camper, housing and all meals (from lunch on the first day to lunch on the last day).
• Completed rosters and application forms with payment must be submitted online by May 1, 2014.

REFUND POLICY
All individual cancellations must be received in writing by mail, e-mail, or fax to the Penn State Sport Camps Office. For purposes of a refund, the postmark of the cancellation letter/email or the date stamp from the fax machine will determine the date received by the Sport Camps office. Refunds for campers who leave before the last day of camp due to injury or illness will be based on the cost of housing and food (H & FS charges on the day of departure will be at the full daily rate), instructional periods attended, and a prorated support fee. Campers who are injured and choose to remain for the duration of the camp will not receive a refund.

2014 BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM CAMP
For those cancellations received 20 or more days prior to the first day of camp, a $5 financial transaction fee will be deducted. If the cancellation is received nineteen (19) days or less before the start of camp, there will be a $40 administrative fee.

Any refund request not submitted to the Penn State Sport Camps office by 5:00 p.m. ten business days from the last day of camp will not receive a refund.
