High School Teams &/or Non-Scholastic Teams

The main focus of the Penn State Lion Strong 7on Passing Camp & Big Man Challenge is to provide an opportunity for high school teams and/or non-scholastic teams to learn from college football's best coaching staff.

Features of the Lion Strong 7on Passing Camp & Big Man Challenge:

  • Register early; this camp is limited to 40 teams
  • Instruction by the Penn State Football coaching staff and players
  • 7on Passing Camp competition consists of at least 6 games
  • Games refereed by high school officials
  • Big Man Challenge participants compete in various drills individually and against other teams
  • Big Man Challenge participants receive position skill & technique development
  • Team and individual awards presented
  • The ideal environment for an entire team to improve individually and collectively
  • Lighted, natural grass and synthetic turf playing fields


    Players should bring the following:

  • Football helmets (strongly recommended)
  • Mouthpieces
  • Football shoes (cleats & tennis shoes)
  • Practice shorts, t-shirts, socks & supporters
  • Two different colored jerseys or matching shirts
  • Coaches should bring:
  • Footballs
  • Extra ice & drinks for team
  • Athletic training supplies

    Registration for team sport camps is offered online. To reserve a team space for the Lion Strong 7on Passing Camp & Big Man Challenge, a coach/team representative must register online. After a team is registered, the coach/team representative will receive a confirmation e-mail with detailed instructions, a roster form and a medical release form. Please distribute a medical release form to each of your players.

    Payment may be made by cash, check &/or credit card at final registration on Saturday - June 16, 2018.

    Team Roster Form & High Resolution Logo:
    Submit a team roster form & high resolution artwork of your team's logo, helmet, etc. to the Penn State Sport Camps office ( by June 1, 2018.

    Please submit all player and coach information requested on the roster. This roster is tentative and changes can be made. Also, please provide a list of all coaches who may attend the camp. This information is extremely helpful for planning purposes.

    Medical Release:
    Each participant must have a medical release signed by a parent/legal guardian to participate. Collect all completed individual medical release forms and submit them as one package to Penn State Sport Camps personnel at final registration on Saturday - June 16, 2018.

    Coach/Team Representative:

    Penn State is committed to providing a safe environment for all employees, students and visitors. We will provide trained staff to assist in making your experience at the event the best experience possible. Penn State Sport Camps are administered by Intercollegiate Athletics in accordance with University policy AD39 and NCAA rules and regulations. Clubs must obtain signed parental/legal guardian medical release forms authorizing the minors' participation in the event. All adults and minors attending Penn State Camps are participants of the camp as such; all participants must follow the instructions of the Penn State staff in complying with the rules and regulations of the event. Any violations of the rules or instructions of the Penn State staff may result in immediate dismissal from the event.

    All adult participants are required to read and understand obligations for reporting child abuse witnessed or suspected during the course of participation in the camp at Penn State University. Adult participants, who willfully fail to report a case of suspected child abuse, will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Adult participants are protected by Pennsylvania law and Penn State policy from discrimination for filing a good faith report of child abuse.

  • $10 per player (includes instruction and games only)
  • $15 per player (includes instruction, games and t-shirt only)
  • $15 per player (includes instruction, games and lunch only)
  • $20 per player (includes instruction, games, t-shirt & lunch)

  • $10 per coach (includes shirt only)
  • $10 per coach (includes lunch only)
  • $15 per coach (includes shirt and lunch)

  • Note: Coaches are not required to pay any fees unless they want a shirt and/or lunch.
