MECHELEN, Belgium - After a full day of traveling, the Nittany Lions made it to Belgium. In this video, the Lions are seen traveling, touring Mechelen and working out in a pre-game practice.

Nittany Lions Arrive in Belgium

The Nittany Lions arrived in Belgium this morning around 7 a.m. local time (1 a.m. EST). Pictured below is a cobblestone street in Mechelen, a small city to the north of Brussels. The Penn State basketball team will have its base operations out of Mechelen during its week in Europe.

VIDEO: Nittany Lions Headed to Europe

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Nittany Lion basketball team will drive from State College to Philadelphia on Saturday before embarking on a non-stop flight to Brussels, Belgium to kickoff a six-night European tour with visits to Belgium, France, England and the Netherlands.

The Lions will play three games against Belgian professional squads on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday before returning on Saturday.  In addition to the games, the Lions are slated to visit Bruges and Antwerp in Belgium, along with day trips to Paris and London.

The European tour caps off a productive practice season for head coach Patrick Chambers and the Nittany Lions.  Under NCAA rules, the Lions are able to practice 10 times for the European tour.  Check out a video preview with Coach Chambers and a few of the Nittany Lions before heading overseas.
