141: Bryan Pearsall Pins Eric Roach - WBF 4:32
Senior Bryan Pearsall worked for a 2-0 lead against Indiana freshman Eric Roach during a tight first period at 141 pounds.  Pearsall quickly tallied three back points to open the second period before ultimately pinning Roach for Penn State's third-straight pin to open the match.  Pearsall is now 8-2 on the season.

149: #5 Andrew Alton Pins Geno Capezio - WBF 0:52
Sophomore Andrew Alton needed just 52 seconds to make it four pins in four matches for the top-ranked Nittany Lions.  Alton turned senior Geno Capezio while leading 2-0 in his first dual match of 2012.  Penn State's lead grew to 24-0 after just four matches in sold out Rec Hall.

184: #1 Ed Ruth Pins Luke Sheridan - WBF 1:24
Top-ranked Ed Ruth's cradle has been a thing of beauty since he arrived on campus at Penn State.  With five pins already in the books, Ruth was not going to be out-done by his teammates against Indiana sophomore Luke Sheridan.  Ruth scored three takedowns in the first 70 seconds before ending the match with a pin at the 1:24 mark.  The junior is now 8-0 in 2012.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
It's hard to ask for much more in a Big Ten opener from the top-ranked Nittany Lions.  Megaludis was the catalyst during a truly dominant afternoon of wrestling for Penn State with a pin.  Conaway, Pearsall and Andrew Alton followed suit with three more pins to make it four pins in the first four matches.  Alton and Taylor scored victories before two more pins from Brown and Ruth.  Gingrich capped off a tremendous performance with an outstanding third period against seventh-ranked Chalfant.  When Penn State wrestles with the attitude it did on Sunday afternoon, the Lions are virtually impossible to beat.  Head coach Cael Sanderson credited the way Megaludis, Conaway and Pearsall continued to pursue more points throughout their matches as the driving force behind Sunday's impressive victory.  The Nittany Lions return to action on Saturday against intra-state foe Lock Haven.
