After playing solid minutes to open the season, Ott has seen a lot of action as of late, scoring 13 points against Indiana last Thursday night on Dollar "Ott" Dog night at the BJC.

Get to Know Chris Babb!

babb.jpeg

Sophomore Chris Babb hails from Arlington, Texas.  You may know him better as a great defensive player who has been on fire offensively of late.  He led the team in scoring in two of the past three games, a stretch where he is averaging nearly 10 points per game.  His best game of the season came on January 12 at Illinois, when he scored 15 points and added a team high 10 rebounds.  He has also been responsible for defending some of the best guards in the Big Ten.

We had the chance to sit down with Chris and ask him a few questions.

Gameday Blog: What music have you been listening to on your iPod lately?
Chris: A little bit of everything lately.  Eminem, Lil Wayne, Earth, Wind and Fire.

Gameday Blog: What are the last movies you have watched?
Chris: I Love You Man, The Blind Side

Gameday Blog: What's your favorite class so far?
Chris: Music class with Greg Drane, Music 008

Gameday Blog: What is your Super Bowl prediction?
Chris: I'm a Cowboys fan but I'm liking Jets to win it all, vs the Saints.

Gameday Blog: Thanks Chris and good luck the rest of the season!

About the Indiana Hoosiers

Indiana has won five National Championships in the team's storied history.  However, the Nittany Lions have won four straight against the Hoosiers, with three victories over them in the 2008-09 season.  Last year, Penn State won in Bloomington for the first time in school history.  Entering his second season at the helm, Head Coach Tom Crean is building the program back to prominence, and they are tied for seventh place in the Big Ten at this point with a 2-3 record.  In December, they beat Pittsburgh, a team that is currently ranked ninth in the AP Top 25 Poll.

The Hoosiers' leading scorer, Maurice Creek, was injured in late December, and is out for the season.  Freshman Christian Watford and sophomore Verdell Jones III lead the way for this young team.

Did you know?  Sophomore Jeremiah Rivers is the son of the Boston Celtics' Head Coach Doc Rivers.
