On Penn State's final drive of the first half, the Minnesota Golden Gophers got a heavy dose of quarterback Daryll Clark en route to a 12-yard touchdown pass to Derek Moye in the waning moments of the half to give Penn State a 13-0 lead. The 12-play, 91-yard drive was Penn State's longest of the season in terms of yards. Clark was 6-for-7 for 88 yards passing and also ran the ball twice for 12 yards. The key play of the drive was a 25-yard pass to Andrew Quarless on third-and-six midway through the drive. It was the longest catch of the year for Quarless.
